my concern with multiple analytic engines is that each one that you put &#039;in/on&#039; your page spawns off a request to the respective analytics &#039;mothership&#039; sites. If there are net congestion problems or any of the remote sites are down, your customers may experience odd sluggishness in *your* site&#039;s responsiveness. I prefer to use the free &#039;analog&#039; or &#039;awstats&#039; to analyze my own logs and minimize the external dependencies. That said, your point about distributing the risk is still well advised.
