Web Analytics

February 25th, 2009

About seven years ago I started to get involved in the field of web analytics, and from that time I’ve seen the industry expand and then contract under a few heavyweights who now seem poised to dominate the industry. As web analytics constantly changes and innovation occurs, incorporating mobile analytics, video analytics, etc. you’ll want to stay tuned in or risk counting ‘hits’ until the day your replacement walks in the door. As a consultant I started out working with log file based tools but have since expanded into Google Analytics, Omniture Site Catalyst, Microsoft Analytics, Webtrends and a few other applications such as Urchin for those who still utilize web logs. If you do have additional questions about any of my postings, or if you do need help please feel free to use the contact form.
